摘　　要： 中西方不同的文化背景导致时间观念的差异,尽管随着时代的发展和跨文化交际的日益深入,时间观念在不断发生变化,然而文化的深层结构对时间观的影响仍根深蒂固。通过采用James Paul Gee的话语分析理论对中英文时间表征进行探析,可以发现影响时间观念的文化因素和中西方时间观的差异和变化。 This paper employs the discourse analysis proposed by James Paul Gee to analyze the temporal rep-resentations and concepts of time in Chinese and English. This method is tried in the comparative study inter-preting the meaning building process and analyzing cultural factors of languages. Three hypotheses will be put forvrard and proved in this research.
