摘　　要： 作者在梅县获见一批地方古契书。古契书的内容涵盖非常广泛,产权变更类的比重相当大。鉴于前人多从法学或史学的角度去审视古契书,本文的介绍仅限于古契书的一个门类———民俗文化,旨在尝试利用古契书提供的资料,探讨粤东梅县传统社会的结构与原动力。 I got some local ancient contract books when I do fieldwork in Mei county.Now more than 2000 pieces have been sorted into file.To my delight, based on many ancient contract books we can explore the location and clans of the affairs,even the attenders. We can find out the history of hakka clans and explore the history struture of Hakka society and culture by reading these books. For example, in the traditional society, the country people sold their land for a certain reason.But in the clan society,they would firstly sell to the relatives in the clan,then others. In these contract books, the ones refered to the change of the own right had a big proporation. The ancient contract books contains a variety of aspects. This article will make an attempt to explore the struture and motive force of the traditional society in Mei county.I hope the experts can give some advice.
