摘　　要： 在乾嘉考据学风盛行时期 ,章学诚由于自身条件限制 ,没有跻身于考据学派 ,而是另辟途径 ,进行历史编纂学的研究。他承袭传统的“六经皆史”的命题 ,主旨是辨析史学著述源流 ,区分史学著述体裁 ,兼论利弊得失 ,目的在于廓清史学的发展源流 ,并非是要把“六经教条 ,从神圣的宝座拉下来” ,更不能称之为“乾嘉后思想解放之源泉。” From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China, the theory of “Liu Jing Jie Shi” which Zhang Xue-cheng had put forward got great respect but did not find his way into the textual research world, because of the special background. Through researching the background where Zhang Xue-cheng put forward his theory, and combining Zhang's research with his academic practice, this article confirms that Zhang put forward the topic of “Liu Jing Jie Shi” from the point of the historical compiling, the aim of which was to clear the origin and development of the historical theories.
