摘　　要： 沃尔兹认为 ,在国际关系理论建构中 ,假设不需要是真实的 ,关于假设 ,不是真实性的问题 ,而是有用性的问题。本文对这种观点进行了探讨 ,认为 ,科学理论作为说明 ,是对“为什么”的回答 ,其目的是要找出现象背后的内生因果机制。逻辑的作用在于 ,把假设的真实性传递到结论上去 ,如果假设不需要真实 ,逻辑的作用就有些可疑了。从实际情况看 ,在国际关系学者中间 。 In Waltz's opinion, in the construction of international relations theory, what asks of assumption is not whether it is true but whether it is useful. This author of this article does not approve this point of view. In the authors opinion, theory is explanatory. It is an answer to the question of “why”, so we must try to find out the endogenous causal mechanism underlying phenomena. If the assumption does not need to be truth, then the function of logic is dubious. In the practice of international relations theory, the suspicion and discussion of the truthfulness of theoretical assumptions is a common phenomenon.
