摘　　要： 　我国大学英语教学存在着培养目标与当前社会经济发展的需要不相适应、教学内容与社会生产和生活实际相脱离、教学方式方法与外语学习客观规律不相符、教学硬件建设落后于高等教育迅猛发展的形势等方面的问题。要解决这些问题,走出困境,除了转变教学思想和观念,改革教学方式和方法外,关键在于要充分利用现代科技手段,发挥网络技术在语言教学中的优势,构建网络化教学模式,走语言学习资源库与网络教学相结合的道路。 This paper, based on a realistic analysis of the major issues confronting College English language teaching at the tertiary level in China, proposes a comprehensive and practical solution to the problems. Taking the present situation into account, the author maintains that the best way to raise the quality of college English teaching in order to meet the demands of the social and economic development as well as those of the learners is to make full use of the networking technology by combining the language learning resources banks with network teaching to provide efficient and individualized input and practical and effective output.
