摘　　要： 绵延几千年,独特纷繁的传统文化对汉语的影响是广博深远、无处不在的.汉语具有世界诸语言中无以伦比的丰富细密的称谓系统和庞大繁杂的称谓词便是明证之一。汉语的称谓系统先是突破家族的藩篱,扩展到上自帝王将相下至平民百姓的全社会,继而又延伸至对天地山川,风雨雷电等自然崇拜上,使汉文化圈俨然变为一个“长幼有序,尊卑分明”的世界。这是饶有兴味的“文化—语言”现象。 The traditional Chinese culture with a unique variety and a history of severalmillennia has been exerting a far-reaching and pervasive influence on Chinese language.Chinese enjoys an unparalleled abundance in the world’s language groups. Oneof the testimonies certifying this abundance is the meticulous system of appellationand appellation terms.The appellation system first broke through the bounds of clan and extended tothe whole socicty from emperors,kings, generals,prime ministers down to thecommons,and has then extended further to the heaven,land, mountains and rivers,as well as such natural phenomena as wind,rain, thunder and lightning.Thus theChinese cuttural circle has become a world with distinct order in age and in socialhierarchy.This is a highly interesting“culture-language” phenomenon.
