摘　　要： 如何加快京、津两市的经济发展?两市一方面都在充分利用各自的优势,抓机遇,定措施,加强竞争,另一方面也在争取与南方相当的开放政策和加大自己的开放深度。然而这还不够,这两个相距很近(高速公路距离仅100多公里),腹地几乎完全重合的城市,还需要考虑联合的优势。 Beijing, the capital city, is the political and cultural center of the whole nation, but it has no sea port; Tianjin has a quite good sea port and preferential foreign trade and opening policies, but compared with Beijing, it has less political impact and fewer advanced technologies. If we combine the advantages of the 2 cities together, it will surely make them more competitive in the international market. The implementation of the urban planning of joint development of Beijing and Tianjin will fully explore their advantages and make them the international commercial centers as earlier as possible.
