The 500m obstacle race is one of the disciplines included in the military pentathlon by the International Council for Military Sports. As a basic event in which the results of physical training and military drills are tested, it is of important practical value and is worth popularizing. But there has been a lack of specialized studies, both at home and abroad, about the effects of this event on the human body, particularly the physiol- ogical and biochemical changes it produces. This article reports on the results of the tests in these changes, using blood lactic acid, uric albumen, uric value PH and heart rate indexes for measurements. The purpose of such tests is toprovide data for improving training in this event.
