摘　　要： 本文旨在论述英美现代主义文学的创作题材与艺术形式。文章讨论了现代主义与现实主义之间的关系，分析了作为现代主义文学基本题材的‘咱我”的本质，并揭示了现代主义文学在形式上的革新、晦涩和悲剧特征。 Ths essay is intended to discuss the subject and form of English and American modernist literature It comments on the relationship between modernism and realism , analyses the 'self ' employed as a predominant subject by most modernists , and reveals the distinctive features of innovation , obscurity and pessimism of modernist literature.
