摘　　要： 该文不同意把现代广州话处理为有介音。作者认为 ,对广州话介音问题应取一种历史的眼光 :早期粤语确是有介音的 ,但后来在广州话中趋于消亡 ,其中有一部分转化为声母。从现代广州话的音节结构看 ,应承认它已经达到了介音作为一个系统不再独立存在的地步。处理为没有介音 ,符合现代广州话的本质特征。 This paper disagrees to the opinion that in phonetic analysis of Cantonese, medials should be part of the system. The author holds that researchers should have a historical point of view while dealing with this issue. In early Cantonese, there were indeed medials, but they withered afterwards. Some of them turned into initials. Judging by the structure of the syllables of modern Cantonese, we must admit that as a system the medials do not exist. Therefore, to regard Cantonese as not having a medial system reflects the essential features of modern Cantonese.
