摘　　要： 本文从宏观的角度对人类历史上的口传文艺进行讨论,其主要观点是:口传文艺起源于旧石器时代后期,也就是人类进化成为现代人类的阶段;口传文艺的各种类型,如神话、传说、故事等,多数是在社会阶层形成之后才形成的;口传文艺在亚洲、欧洲、非洲、大洋洲的旧大陆与美洲新大陆之间有显著的差异,即使在旧大陆内部,也存在着东与西的不同传统;口传文艺已经完成了它的历史使命而走向衰落。 This paper discusses oral literature of human history with a macro view,which figures that:1, Oral literature derives from the late Paleolithic Age when human evolved into modem human.2,All types of oral literature,such as myth,legend,tale,had come into being after the stratum was formed.3,Oral literature is quite different among Asia,Europe,Africa,the Old World of Oceania and the New World of America.Even if in- side the Old World,there are diverse traditions from the east to the west.4,Oral literature has finished its histori- cal task and is getting declined.
