摘　　要： 近年来,对于英语教学法的讨论非常热烈。大部分学者对于"以教师为中心"的传统教学法提出多种质疑,并积极提倡"以学生为中心"的新式教学法。新式教学法虽然能够解决传统教学法存在的缺陷,但是该新式教学法并不是放之四海皆准的一种教学方法,也是有自己的不使用之处。本文试图从输入输出理论来研究这两种教学方法各自的适用性,希望能够给教师提供更加完善的教学方法,从而促进英语专业教学的发展。 English teaching method is always a big hit for college teachers.Most of the scholars or teachers tend to doubt the feasibility of the traditional teacher-oriented method and they hold the view that a new student-oriented method should be applied. The new method can solve the inevitable problems in the traditional teaching method,but this doesn’t mean that every class should apply this method due to its own weakness. The author tend to conduct an analysis of the suitability of both methods from the perspective of language input and output theory, so as to provide a better understanding of these two teaching methods and hope to make some contribution to the English major.
