摘　　要： 广东经济在经历多年高速增长后,正面临着产业转型与结构调整,加入WTO以后与国际标准接轨,以及新技术、设备引进等迫切问题,亟需要培养一大批高等职业技术人才,而广东当前高职教育存在种种矛盾与问题,需从广东社会经济发展战略高度出发,作深刻反省,采取有力措施,坚定不移地发展高职教育,以适应″十一五″规划广东社会经济发展的需求。 Over many years of high-speeding increase, Guangdong economy has been facing so many urgent problems as industrial transformation and structural adjustment, reaching international criteria after joining WTO, and introducing new technology and equipment; which need a large number of qualified scientists and technicians of higher vocational education. But higher vocational education in Guangdong is now confronted with a lot of contradictions and problems. To resolve them, forceful countermeasure is supposed to be taken to develop higher vocational education to meet the needs of the social and economic development in Guangdong.
