摘　　要： 文中阐述了客家民系的形成、特征以及客家民居的类型与建筑特征。而现代社会中,客都梅州如何传承与发展客家传统文化,创新城市特色?保护与发展两者的关系应是以发展为目的,以当地老百姓适应时代的良好人居环境为目的。 The text elucidates the formation and characteristics of the Hakka peoples and house dwelling as well as the typology and architectural features. As the center of the Hakka traditional culture,the city of Meizhou is confronted with the challenge of inheritage and revival of the tradition while pursuing a renovative character of the city. The concern and munipulation of the relationship between preservation and development should be paid more on development—aiming at building the contemporary humane living environment for local people.
