摘　　要： 在英语世界的戏曲研究中,美国学者章道犁的元杂剧曲律研究在同类研究中成就和影响上最为突出,对于英语世界的曲学研究者,是必备的参考文献。其对元杂剧套数组合规律的大量统计和系统详细的归纳,对中国的曲学研究学者不无借鉴的价值。事实证明,中西学者加强联系沟通非常必要和紧迫,以减少不必要的重复研究,从而提高学术研究的水平。 In English world,Dale R.Johnson’s research on the prosody of Yuan drama stands out freshly for its great achievements and influence.Dale R.Johnson’s work is not merely an important referential book in the English world,it will be an enlightening study for Chinese scholars as well.It points out that it is very important and ergent to strengthen the communication between the researchers at home and abroad in order to avoid some repetition of academic studies and thus improve the efficiency of research.
