摘　　要： 在翻译过程中,恰当、适度地运用异化和归化这两种基本策略,可以促进源语文化和目的语文化的互补和顺畅交流。 Domestication and foreingnization,two basic strategies used in translation to balance cultural elements of the source language and target language,are usually applied to the translation of Chinese idioms into English.Their adequate application to the translation can make a mutual compensation for cultural inadequacy and promote the communication between the members of the two cultures.
